Stuff

Well on Saturday morning thoroughly fed up with my somewhat depleted levels of aircraft I splurged on another Eflite Mini Pulse XT from the boys at Nitrodude.

As some of you will recall I have had a mini pulse before.

The intervening two years or so haven't changed much with this plane. She is still a great plane that comes together quickly and flys really sweetly. A plane that can fly almost smoothly enough to be a trainer, but can do knife edge too. Fantastic. That being said, she would be an average aileron trainer unless you have a helper/buddy box - just a bit too swift.

So the plan with this plane was to it together as quickly as possible using bits and pieces I already had in the shed, so she is running:
  • Spektrum 6200
  • TowerPro 9g servos
  • Eflite 480 910kv motor
  • Eagle 25A ESC
Anyway, it's been fantastic to get another MPXT in the air. And now with the confidence of a radio system that wont send her spiralling in to the ground I am hoping for a nice long life.

In other news a friend of mine came along and spent some time taking some fab photos of some of the models at Kambah this weekend. Here's a few samples but you can check out the whole shoot on his Picasa page.

The new Mini Pulse XT

Ultrafly Mustang - it didn't have such a good day in the end - see the picasa site for more:

And finally Koala Dave's RV4 - so much prettier than mine:

Like I said check out these photos - they are great.

All for now - ciao.
